I have an old Tomtom with the original 660 UK *IR map (just a few years old lol). Is there any way I can install a more recent UK & IR map ? I will be using a new SD card as the current TOMTOM one is not that large. The ttfo.bif file information is shown below.

Kind Reagrds,

Make an backup from the One.
Delete everything from the One (SD Card)

* Use 9.510 DSA 32MB ram.

Download and unpack place Folders and Files on the One (SD Card)

1) Reset The Device (minimal 15 sec) and start it till the announcement "No map found"

2) Choise 990 map of your choise and read the beginning carefully.

3) Copie the chosen map to your Device (SD Card) in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.

4) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your TomTom device root (internal or SD Card).

Run "FastActivate.exe".
Select 2
Done

Thanks for the reply. Is is possible to use a new larger SD card so I can download the Europe map file as the original TomTom SD card is only 280mb.

Put the bootloader on your existence SD Card. Read the txt file wich included in the
bootloader.

Take a bigger SD card from at least 4GB SDHC class 4 or higher.
Format the SD card Fat32 once slowly. If it's a new card then you can skip this.

Then further with the procedure.

You can use Europe 985_8155
After installation of the map you can delete the cspeech files.

Hi, I have tried the first setup that you suggested but my One SD doesn't have enough space for the new map after copying the 9.510 DSA.
The no maps found sign is up but I only have 114mb left on the card and the map is roughly 224 mb.

You said that the SD Card was to small and if it was possible to use a bigger SD Gard becourse you wanted to Use Europe. So I
said yes and what to do for a bigger SD Card. Now you are stil talking about a small SD Card.

So set your backup back. Delete the old map.
Choose United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland 985_8158 (meta available just today)
Hopefully, it fits.

Download an up to date metafile and place that in the root of SD Card
Use another meta Post 13

2 and final 3 till announcement navcore patched

You can still try only the UK on the smaller SD Card look for the instruction in post 6.
Otherwise I hear from you how is got on with a bigger SD Card.

I used the bootloader, used a new SD card with the UK&IE 985 map and the tomtom is working great. Thanks again.
