Enjoy and press the thanks button if it works, it takes a lot of effort to round everything up and make it work!

This is really nice, but for some reason 3D buildings (or landmarks) are greyed out on my Nexus 4, even though the files are in the buildings folder. Any suggestions?

That's very strange. They work on my Nexus 4 with no problem. Perhaps it's skin related so it may be worth moving the GJ skin out of that folder and see if that helps.

It is working on mine now too. I switched skin, renamed the skin folder and restarted, no go. Renamed it back, switched skin back and restarted, and now the buildings can be enabled. There aren't any round here, so I only assume they now work.

Very weird but I'm glad you got it working. Sadly the buildings seem very few and far between in the UK but I have seen them on screen with this version when I took it to Norwich so it should be all good now.

Hi, thanks for this. I had a version of IGO previously, but couldn't get it to work on my Nexus. I see this version doesn't have a postcode search. Is this something that can be added or is it not available for this version? Thanks again.

Sorry, I should have played about a bit more! Postcodes are working fine. I'll give the app a go tomorrow.
Cheers

Yes it does: full postcode search is built in.

Has anyone else had a problem with the TTS on this? I've observed that it starts out ok but at some point in the journey it stops making announcements. Has this happened to anyone else? If so I have another APK to try, just let me know here if anyone else has had this issue.

I would suspect the TTS on your phone, rather than iGo. It is the phone's TTS that does the work. I suggest you try Ivona text to speech. I think it is the best so far.

Hi
Installed this on my (Galaxy Tab 2 10.1) seems to work OK but noticed that if I select female TTS voices (Helen) it is male spoken.
However if I select standard voice female it speaks female
Can this be fixed?

The default android tts voice for the UK is male

@Cynderyn fatboyfun nailed it, your TTS on your device is male. If you install a female voice as your device's TTS, Helen will become a woman :-)
Personally I favor Svox, best sounding female TTS out there to my ears.

On Android, all the TTS in iGo does is pass the job over to the Android TTS. If you want a female voice in Android TTS, select it in the Text to speech output settings.
