I noticed that several links to the fullbackups are either outdated or deleted, so I tried to put the most useful ones together into one posting.
Read first!]
Before you start with anything make a backup of your device using the Windows Explorer and not HOME!
Some fullbackups will make a reboot after the start of your device, this is used to complete the installation on your device, so please do not interrupt it.
For several backups it is possible to change the emulation from the menu, other still use the switchfiles or none at all.
If there is nothing to change the emulation in the menu plese refer to the settings used in the switchfiles (can be found here :
:link: Devices with only 32mb ram are best off with the V8 Navcores especially the 8.412 but some V9 versions for these devices will follow.
The 9.160 and 9.014 for example already offer the "self" mode as an emulation that allows the use on those devices, however the memory use is pretty high and might cause very slow response times.
Even if for the example a GO730 is specified for the backup it only means the backup is from that device but can be used on other devices without problems.
The new XL models are still causing problems with the menu and the sound, so if your device stays silent please try the english Samantha computer voice, if still silent please use a different Navcore or stay with your original.
For the use with the simulation in Home keep in mind that you need a ttgo.bak in you root folder containing the values of your original Navcore.
Installation]
All fullbackups are meant to be installed on an empty device/SD card.
Unpack the archive and doubleclick onto the install.exe.
During the installation you're asked to specifiy the drive letter of your device, please use only the drive letter and no path!
After the install has finnished add your map folder from your backup or a new map and activate the map after the first start of the device.

Hi Downunder
I have installed the 9.160 version on my 730, and can't get home to give me the quickgpsfix's.
I get a message about not having the correct version installed for my 730.
Hope you can help
Thanks

You need a ttgo.bak with the values of the original Navcore version in it.
Open your ttgo.bif and replace the values in theses lines to match :
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
ApplicationVersion=9982
After that safe the file as ttgo.bak and Home should be fine.

station-rat,
For clarification, the Version error message does not prevent you from doing anything in TT Home. You just close the message & continue using Home.
1 small addition to Downunder's fix. After saving as ttgo.bak, Disconnect & reboot your 730.

Problem solved
You need one installation of TT Home for each Tomtom you want to update.
Thanks

You don't need a seperate installation, but you do need a seperate account for each.

The Quickgpsfix updates are stored on your puter. As a learning tool, Go TT Home, Tools, Home preferences, Folder Tab & notice the path to the download folder. Update 1 device. When complete, follow the path to the download folder, then complete folder & ephemeris folder. Delete the last QuickGPSfix in this folder. Switch accounts & attempt to get an update for your 2nd unit.

Hi,
I would like to make a clear install onto my GO 730 device which was bought some days ago.
I don't know what kind of things installed by the previous owner of this device but when I switch on my GO 730 it say that this map is not usable on this device...
I would like to remove really everything and start with a new installation. Is it possible? How to do it? What information shall I share with you?
Thanks
