Use these commands, modify the paths to suit!

Kill ("mainpage.exe")
RunWait ("\PATHTO\iGO.exe")
Run ("\PATHTO\mainpage.exe")

RunWait will start iGO and wait until it has closed before starting the shell again.

Hi Fatboyfun,
your Mortscript Guide is very usefull and practical. Thanks a lot!
I have a Panasonic Strada CN-GP50N.
On a new SD card I have installed iGO primo 9.6.13, renamed the primo exe file to SDAuto.exe and the navigation works O.K., success!
When arriving at the destination I switch off the Strada (with the power switch at the left side of the Strada, the MAIN power slide switch at the bottom always staying ON).
When switching on the Strada again, it shows the last map for about 15 seconds, but the map and the user interface is frozen. Then iGO primo is starting all over again (start screen with the chrome car picture) and when the program is loaded again, then it is functional again and shows the last map.
So everytime I switch off the Strada, when switching on it reloads the primo program.
I want the Strada simply to start up with the last map, without reloading the GPS program.
I have another SD card with the ceDesktop.exe program renamed to SDAuto.exe, so I can start the Windows operation system of the Strada. But this is as far as I get.
With the original Panasonic SC card, the Strada always directly shows the last situation map without having to reload anything. This is the way I want it to work!
Do you have a suggestion? I do not need any start menu, the only application I want to run is iGO primo.

Best regards, 968driver.

What's happening here is the SD card is unmounted during suspend to save power, it takes a millisecond or two after resuming to remount the SD card, iGO can't access the card immediately and thinks there's a problem and therefore restarts, this is a hardware limitation.

However iGO can be configured to suspend the device itself, and goes into a kind of hibernate mode which gets around this problem.

On my device I configured the on screen menu key to suspend the device on long press, then when woken up it doesn't reboot, however you may need a skin (probably dimka) to enable this feature.

Hi Fatboyfun,

I have tried several skins, but the problem still is there. I did not find a way to configure a power on/off without rebooting. After shutting off the Strada, it always reloads the Primo program instead of directly showing the last map.
However, when putting the Strada in its original state with its original SD card, it does not reload its GPS program and starts directly with the last map.
I also have an unlocked Mio 268 Plus, with iGO8 on the SD card. This unit works 100% O.K., and always shows the last map after power down, without rebooting.
I have allready spent many hours to find a solution, it is a kind of challenge I simply need to solve, ot's addictive.
Surely, there has to be a way around it?

Best regards, Frans.

DO NOT JUST SHUT OFF THE CAR IN ORDER TO SHUTDOWN YOUR GPS DEVICE ALSO. YOU MUST EXIT THE PROGRAM PROPERLY THROUGH THE PROGRAM EXIT BUTTON FIRST. If you don't do this, you will get errors because the save folder was not properly saved. You also might have to delete any save folder you now have in your program folders. Unfortunately you'll have to re-do the options.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

You will not be able to suspend the device the normal way, to avoid the reboot you must instruct Primo to suspend the device, on my device i've installed the dimka skin and configured a long press of the menu button to suspend the device.

Primo Menu -> Extra Settings -> Menu Long Click Action (Turn off)

Doing it this way will make Primo go into a suspend mode which may help.

Hi Fatboyfun,

I tried about everything in my current knowledge, without result.
(iGO Primo
I installed the diMkaWA_P171 skin and followed your procedure: Primo Menu -> Extra Settings -> Menu Long Click Action (Turn off). Unit turns off, but...
Still, when reactivating Primo, it allways reloads the program and it takes about 45 seconds to proceed with the map. I am beginning to doubt if a solution is possible.

Second problem with the Panasonic Strada with non-original GPS program and maps:
the audio volume is very low, not usable in the car.
I had no success at all in trying to fix this low volume issue?!

These two problems prevent having fun with the updated Strada!

Best regards, Frans.

Are you holding down the menu button in the lower right of the map display?

Can you actually hear anything? Check the volume controls within iGO.

Yes, "long click" on menu button shuts down the Strada (programmed in menu). I followed your procedure.
Then, click on left side power button (hardware push button) switches on the device again, but igo always reboots.

I have checked all volume controls, they are at maximum (Windows CE and igo). So the maximum volume is just about O.K. for a silent room, that's all. Not sufficient for in car use.
However, volume controls work normally, audio is O.K., only way too silent.

Best regards, Frans.

Unless you can squeeze the installation into internal flash memory it's something you'll have to live with, as for the sound problem, there is a few threads discussing it, do a search for them.

You need to reset the timezone, I have posted instructions on the forum before, and there is an example in post #1

Thank´s.
This one is the one have you said?

RegWriteBinary ("HKLM", "Time", "TimeZoneInformation", "0000000047004d00540020005300740061006e0064006100720064002000540069006d00650000000000540069006d00650000000000000000000000000000000000000000000a000000050002000000000000000000000047004d00540020004400610079006c0069006700680074002000540069006d00650000000000540069006d00650000000000000000000000000000000000000000000300000005000100000000000000c4ffffff")
RegWriteDWord ("HKCU", "ControlPanel\Volume", "Volume", "ffffffff")
RegWriteString ("HKCU", "ControlPanel\Desktop", "Wallpaper", "")
XCopy("\My Flash Disk\Shortcuts\*.lnk", "\Windows\Desktop", FALSE, FALSE)
RedrawToday
Run ("\My Flash Disk\ShowTaskbar.exe")
Exit

Is it necesary to put in somewhere +3?
Again thank´s a lot.
Regards
