Hi,
Does my nuvi 295W can read more than 2GB file on SD card? Can we split to 2 files (1 for Canada only, 1 for US?)
I will drive from Virgina-US to Guelph, ON - Canada.
I followed 1 youtube guide of "OpenMapChest" and I did try but it seems my nuvi cannot read file >2GB on SD slot (gmap supp). The size of nuvi drive is small too, but I could get over 2~2.5GB for main gmap (gmapprom).

The split is East West US & Canada, your trip is included in the East.1.82 GB (1,961,525,248 bytes) just rename it to gmapprom if you can use the internal storage
Use Simulator to test your trip

Hi, can anybody explain for me why my antivirus detected harmful malware in Garmin City Navigator North America NT 2023.10 FID 9397 and blocked it.
Thanks for quick reply. I am talking about this post

When I tried to use Mapsource to create my own map, I got an error message stating that the map was locked. Possibly Garmin has added a level of encryption to the map...

Please do not create a new version thread unless you are ready to share your
download.
A "Screen shot" of the error or explain what gave this error ,your device that you used to
download with or another device. Output from MapInstall is locked to the device you used to install on your computer unless you unlock Mapsource before using or you use Gimgun on the created gmapsupp.img file

I created a map for use with my Nuvi350 and Goldwing motorcycle GPS units using the 2023.2 map. The street names still DO NOT display correctly so the 2022.25 map is the latest version that will work with the older units. I guess Garmin is attempting to make the older units obsolete.

Seems to be an issue with specific devices. Members who have these devices with LifeTime updates should contact Garmin Support

The problem with the newer than 2022.25 maps and the goldwing seems to be related to the board build. The problem sems to be mainly with 2006 goldwings.
2006 - 2008 US models have the same nav system and the same firmware. But some have the problem with anything newer than 2022.25 and some don't.

I have the same problem with my Nuvi 350 (2009 model year).

Hi... newbie here so don't laugh at my stupid question please.
do
I clicked on (Post #1) and the subsequent download for "2023.10" CN NA NT. It ends up going to "https://www.filecrypt.cc/Container/DAF0E6F3D0.html
followed by a "full screen" of "Click "ALLOW" to download... I've clicked all over the screen... words, blank space, etc. Nothing happens!!
How do I actually download the 2023.10 file?
Thanks in advance,
Steve
