It seeem is first Carminat, non LIVE version - so - it's easy [ with 0 costs ] to rebuild.
1. Backup content ( With TT Home or copy it manualy ) somewhere on PC.
2. Format card. Just to get R/W well again. Or use NEW Standard empty SD card ( do not use micro ones with adapters ).
3. Insert the, new , formatted card in the car GPS. It will initialize it.
4. copy the LOOP folder from the new card to somewhere in your HDD in PC.
5. Restore the backup from TT Home manually (TT saved it to TomTom diredtory in your Documents folder), to get voices ect... without LOOP folder
6. Update the new card in TT Home (maps, navicore, quick gps - whatever it found)
7. Test if the new card is working by putting it in the car. It is possible that it will update the navicore in the device, if the orignal was old <this happened to me>
8. Reverse the LOOP folder from step 4.
9. Download the navcore (navcore_8841.453398.Carminat_TomTom.cab )
10. Extract the navicore cab file somewhere in your computer
11. Extract two ZIP files from CAB (in Install\DS_1) folder to THE ROOT OF THE NEW SD CARD
12. Rename ~tsystem to ttsystem on the CARD
13. Look at stored folder LOOPDIR (fingerprint of your Carminat unit) and open file ext3_loopback with notepad
14. Search (ctrl+F) for the line "uniqueID" (it's 10 digit with letters & number)
15. Write down / Copy your uniqueID and close the window
16. open file ttgo.bif ( if there no this file, just copy it from standard TomTom instalation ) in the root of SD Card with notepad and replace DeviceUniqueID number with your number (10 digits without space between them)
17. Patch PNDNavigator (as in other TomTom devices)
17. Download and patch your maps in the same as it is for other TomTom's
