Since the Note 2 screen display size is 720x1280 pixels, it will be using the 720x1184 and 1196x720 resolution. Using the resolution bigger that 720x1280, you may not see the menu screen in full. S3 display screen is 720x1280 pixels. In my S3, except for the 1196x720 and 720x1184 I have deleted all other resolutions.

Very clear explanation. Now fully understood. You're great.

Thanks/Regards.

The NaviSEAckw installer I used successfully on the SG Note 2 with OS 4.1.2 does not contain the 1280x720 and 720x1280 resolution folders.

The NaviSEAckw installer has many other resolution folders, but not the 1280x720 and 720x1280.

The successfull installation could have been the 1184x720, 720x1196, 1280x800, 800x1280 or the 1280x752. There are a total of 22 resolution folders in the Organic folder that came with the NaviSEAckw installer.

I suspect it is the additional "._.DS_Store" and ".DS_Store" patch files that did the trick rather than the resolution folders in the Organic folder.

If it is not the additional patches, then it could have been other resolution folders and not the 1280x720 and 720x1280, because these two resolution folders were not in the Organic folder.

Back to square one, still wondering which are the resolutions that actually got the M9 up and running ?

Thanks/Regards.

my wife own Note 2 with JB 4.1 and i already install this app to that phone and its run well.

and i use Organic 1280x720 and 720x1280 file from [Please Register or Login to download file] .

I'm referring to OS 4.1.2 on SG Note 2 and not OS 4.1.0 or OS 4.1.1. You mentioned JB 4.1. I assume it is JB 4.1.1. The issue was with JB 4.1.2.

Nonetheless, I've already successfully installed the M9 on SG Note 2 with OS 4.1.2 and it is working fine, exept it does not play the introduction tune when M9 launches.

Anyway, thanks alot for your advice.

Regards.

To play the introduction tune, change the file named StartUPx.gwv file under Navisea/Sounds to StartUP.gwv. I have inserted the "x" after "StartUP" to silence the intro as I find annoying.

The Sound folder from the NaviSEAckw I downloaded does not contain the file "StartUPx.gwv". It has a file "StartUP.gw_"

I can't find the file with the "x", but there is one with with ".gw_" (with an under dash instead of "v"). Is this the file you are referring to ?

Thanks/Regards.

Bingo. That's the file. Rename it to StartUP.gwv.

Okay, I will rename the Sound file "StartUP.gw_" to "StartUP.gwv" when I next install the M9 on another handset.

Thanks for your help.

Extract the rar or zip file you have downloaded.
Copy the Navisea folder to the sdcard.
Copy your country map to navisea/map directory.
Install the file with the apk extension and run.
You must have the resolution files for your sg note 2.

Follow the installation as instructed by forumer curious5. You don't need all the resolution folders in the Organic folder. For SG Note 2 with OS up to 4.1.2 you need only the 1184x720 and 720x1196. You can delete all the other resolution folders to save space in your internal memory.

If you are using the NaviSEAckw, curious5 had the introduction tune silenced by renaming the file in the Sound folder to "StartUP.gw_". If you want the introduction tune to play after you launch M9, rename the "StartUP.gw_" to "StartUP.gwv".

I did that and the familiar Papago introduction tune was restored. Thanks to curious5's instruction.

Since the M9's introduction is annoying to curious5, perhaps someone from this forum could create a replacement wave file with better tune to replace the original, may be the "Gangnam" style tune will be nice. Heheheheheh ......

I've so far successfully installed M9 on SG S3 and SG Note 2 up to OS 4.1.2 without any problem using NaviSEAckw installer. As for OS 4.2.1 some forumers had already tried, but unsuccessful. I believe M9 cannot support OS 4.2.1. One way to confirm this is to send an e-mail to :

[email protected]

They are the accredited seller of M9.

It may take a few days for them to reply you. I've written to them before on other matters and they replied.

Hope that helps.
