Make sure your device is fully charged.
Unpack contents to fresh SD card formatted FAT32
Ensure your device is fully OFF (not in standby), insert the card into your device and power on.
"Loader" will appear on screen for a while then the device will boot up when the flash of patched firmware is complete.
Your device may reboot its self during the process just be patient.

Your SD card will have a new file named 154.bin this is a backup of the device's non-volatile memory region and may save your device later if needed,so keep a copy of it somewhere safe.

There's no problem unlocking maps, the problem is the GPSMAP 67 & 67i like so many other Newer devices have encrypted firmware so cannot be Patched to use unlocked maps.

For a few years newer device's firmware could be patched (determined by their HWID) to use unlocked maps, since the DriveSmart 65 the firmware has been encrypted on these later devices.
Unfortunately it looks like Drive, DriveSmart 52,55,65,66,71,76,86, zumo XT ,Alpha 200i, Montana 700 ,GPSMAP 67 & 67i are all in the same category.
No solution as the Universal Firmware Patcher does not recognise the new encrypted format.

Patched firmware 9.70 for 66i, details:

Maybe I'm missing something here. It gives a link on how to Install FROM AN SD package. When I click on this link it does take you to a thread. But there nothing obvious in this thread on how to install your patched software that you've downloaded. do you copy the filers to an SD card and run something, do you connect your device to youir PC and do something. Sorry but I just can't see anything here. Any help appreciated? thank you
