Is it me or has this thing just tried to virus the heck out of my PC?????

The file you should've downloaded is a *.rar file, not an *.exe.

None of those links work for me apart from giving me the option to download a setup.exe or some other type of malware rubbish.

I am assuming that this fix requires installation on internal memory even if you use an SD card is that correct?

In the folder Ephem in the navcore 9510 32MB is the file so execute it when the TT is linked to the computer.
