I was able to install TT 1.1.1 (USA) on my HTC One V before the phone is rooted. Now that it is rooted, I can't re-install it again. When I click on the apk file, the install failed message pops up right way. Any tips?

Unfortunately my device is not rooted .I understand that Lucky Patcher needs rooting.
Anyway I have more than enough maps to play with.
Once again thanks for your assistance.

Es file explorer tries to handle app installation itself, and usually fails, either use a different explorer app or go to es settings, root settings (UN) install apk's automatically (I think) and turn it off to use the standard Android installer.

Then it works!

Thanks. I downloaded a free app installer from Play Store before seeing your reply, and TT installed fine with it. Is there any file explorer you recommend?

I'm still using es file explorer, just turn off the app installer in the settings and allow Android to do the installing.

Hello again.I know I am over my head in all this but I had TomTom working and now it keeps asking for a map to choose even though I have the maps installed on sd card.
I have tried both Canada/Us and Canada/US and Mexico.I am installing both maps and apk on external sd card.
Tried looking for the AutoactivateIT.exe in files directory to activate ALL maps as mentioned before but cannot find in any of the files.
If anyone could suggest a solution for me or I just am to inexperienced to understand the processes.
Thanks in advance.

You can't use AutoactivateIT.exe to this maps, the maps are specific to only run under TomTom Android v.1.1.1
AutoactivateIT.exe was to activate 900.4602 maps under TomTom Android v.1.1
I really don't know why you can't run this apk ? your the first that comment that.
I have also try-out to run TomTom US maps, and it run smooth and perfect on my Android device SGS3

I think you have to play with it again, maybe it's a' bad download you have make my friend :)
And 1 options back to you: delete in your "files" folder "currentmap.dat" and start tomtom again, then you to the choose to point what map you want to use.
And don't worry, the file "currentmap.dat" comes again when you have choose your map to run :)

Have fun :)
