Android iGo Primo - road labels disappear after junction vie

Thu Oct 25, 2012 11:55 pm

Anybody having issues with road labels disappearing after a junction view pops up?

This happens in 3D mode only - when the junction view pops up and then closes during a route, the road labels on the
map where the junction view popped up will disappear for the rest of the route - only on the side where the junction view
covered the map.

Can anybody test this to confirm it's not my maps that are at fault?

Thanks.

This, as you described, does not happen to me.
It sounds like a screen refresh problem. Maybe peculiar and unique to your device or particular install?
If you are using a 3rd party skin, go back to default and see if it still does the same. If not, skin problem.

Hi Yurbuh - thanks for your reply.

This happens even without a skin.
I'm using LG Spectrum phone with 1280x720 resolution.

I think you might be right about the screen refresh problem. I notice that when a screensaver pops up with a skin and then closes the map will display the labels again.

Is there any setting in the ini file that can control refresh rate?

Thanks again.

No..Primo (nor most applications) have that much control over the hardware.
However, a part of the problem may be
1280x720 resolution
.

Primo Android, in it's manufacturers state, was never intended to run at that resolution. Which means you are either using a customized data.zip created by 'somebody', or are manipulating the original 800x480 resolution by stretching it to fit your screen. Doing so can add all kinds of visual artifacts and maybe behavior such as you are experiencing. You may just have to live with it until there is an official data.zip that supports your resolution......if ever.

I have the same problem in my tablet 7" 800_480 resolution navo 7013 A. There is no solution? Maybe a line in sys folder? Thanx
