Get your device in Airplane Mode

Phone:
For installation on Android device:
Copy this tomtom folder on Device.
go into the Device, Open Device folder, then the tomtom folder,
and copy com.tomtom.xxxxx folder into this folder.
(In this folder tomtom/ )
For example:
tomtom/com.tomtom.europe.
Copy the APK file into your Android device, better into download folder.
Install APK File from your device, but not start it.
You must restarting your device before.
After restarting the device, open TomTom navigation program and Enjoy it.
Now you've done it..

Can you install on Android 10? On my phone app is crashing on start.
Any fixed .apk for new androids?
I am using this tomtom 1.4 more than 7 years without problem untill I got new phone with android 10.

I think you just got lucky with anything newer than Lollipop, because:

I have this up and running now with my Parrot Asteroid Smart. Thank you so much memiblue, you saved this old Android car stereo from the garbage can!

I originally bought the Tomtom 1.4 app with "lifetime updates" from the Parrot Asteroid Market, but first Tomtom pulled it, and then Parrot went bankrupt and shut down their market altogether, and of course no refunds or further support to customers from either Parrot or Tomtom.

The Parrot version of the Tomtom app was version 1.4, with version 935 maps (August 2014). So it was way out of date now.

However, one thing that I really miss on the memiblue version of the app is the ability to set up the sound and visual warning for upcoming safety cameras on the route.

I tried adding these same files to the memiblue version of the 1.4 app and these 1055 maps, but it doesn't work. People commenting in that thread complain that you needed to set it up in v.1.3 first before upgrading to v.1.4, but for some reason it worked just fine when I set it up directly into the Parrot Asteroid Smart version of v.1.4.

Has anyone made this work? Memiblue, is there any chance of enabling that feature?

if it can't run on newer android then it is not future-proof. I dumped the TomTom from my Lineage OS (Android 10). The problem is when TomTom try to validate the map .dct encryption key it blows

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: dlopen failed: cannot locate symbol "RSA_padding_check_PKCS1_type_1" referenced by "/data/app/com.tomtom.australia-WVPMKB-I2Q1vfnHrFB6fjw==/lib/arm/libttn.so"...

it is OpenSSL old API call, incorrectly pass the parameters. OpenSSL changed a lot. Maybe it can be repacked with new OpenSSL library and should work but I dont have time to port it, so I migrated to iGO Navigation World which works fine on my Lineage OS 17.1 (Android 10)

I never had problem with TomTom maps, the only reason to not work is if you have not activated it, or dont have correct .dct key file for your TomTom region. However I used the unlocked _T version which dont mind the region, so any activated unlocked map from any region worked. The only annoying thing was waiting for the new unlocking hashes for the last maps. My last TomTom maps was from freb 2020, almost every year I was updating it.

Not working in droid 5.1.

Tested more method:

1. Copy all to data/data/com.tomtom.easterneurope (/files)
2. Copy Internal SD (/mnt/sdcard/tomtom/com.tomtom.easterneurope) --> untouched
3. Copy External SD (/mnt/sdcard1/tomtom/com.tomtom.easterneurope) edited .metadata.xml

Same problem: Need internet connection.
This phone NOT include google softwares (play services, etc.) to "licensing".
Other cracked TomTom apk not working... (installl method: download soft from play, start, uninstall, reinstall cracked apk... not available download from play in google-free mobile.)


In Parrot system (2.3 droid) working correctly... One big problem: only 4 voice available.
Copyed PDA version Voice directory with hungarian voices... not recognised.
