The problem is solved. Device ID for the activator is 88888888 and the second activation it was alright. I probably during the first activation somewhere made a mistake...

For latest Malaysian map get this map file from this link http://tinggiisland.blogspot.com/2013/12/garmin-map-malfreemap-131202.html and install it first to your desktop and follow the instruction after that get your map file gmapsupp.img just put it on your device..

Hello,i have a kitkat 4.4 ,i install the apk ;sdcard0/Android/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/files/Garmin, i copie all the folders on my sd Card inklusiv maps..
When i start it ,i can,t select the location,The butons are not working to select i touch the screnn but no reaction ??

Whats hepend ??

hola a todos me parece buena aplicación , se ve y funciona, lo único es que cuando busco la ruta la aplicación se detiene 4.4.4,, de resto se ve bien los mapas y todos los sitios si hay algun cambio me avisan por favor gracias

I have a problem with the preset mount-directories: my device (XTRONS TD626A) has 4.4.4, is almost impossible to root and mounts the external sd-card as "/mnt/external_sd" ONLY. Due to the unrootability, I can't set a symlink to any of the provided destinations.
Any hints how to solve this?

Edit: Apart from the fact I did some cheating (using internal flash for given mount locations; still in need for /mnt/external_sd) the app seems to be working almost perfect. But the Locale has to be set every time I start the program. How can this be set permanently (all other settings seem to be kept after reboot).

Edit 2: Solved after gps-fix & forced restart: now only asks for license agreement and care confirmation.
The only thing missing for complete satisfaction is the apk with the proper path :-)

i wonder if i can made at full map of europe in gmapprom and not gmapsupp
i have garmin street pilot 2.33 on my Tablet and it only show maps in gmapprom format
hope some one can help

The New Garmin Series (1xxx/2xxx/3xxx)

In this devices you will find built-in maps in .System folder, this is a hidden system folder and you have to enable the view of this folder in:
Tools\Folder Options\View – Select Show hidden files, folders and drives
Tools\Folder Options\View – Uncheck Hidde protected operating system file (Recommended)

To update this devices you can:
1 - Replace the original map (gmapprom.img) with the one downloaded, you can rename the downloaded map in gmapprom.img if it is named gmapsupp.img
2 – You can create a folder called Map in the root and put the map file inside. The files in Map folder can be renamed as you wish and you can put more than one map in this folder.
Example: “X” is your Garmin driver
X:\Map\gmapsupp.img
X:\Map\Europe.img
X:\Map\NorthAmerica.img
X:\Map\XXXXX.img
