I have a HUAWEI ASCEND Y300, I tried several times to install tomtom, but will not start. can you help me? thanks

Give some more details... Have you got any errors? Did you tick "allow install apps not from google play"? it is in setting-> safety or apps.

Give some more details...what error show up? which version of tomtom you used and etc.

I used the last and second last map, the application installs, then I start from the icon, the program opens tomtom but then says can not connect.

Did you make everything in straight this order?
Instructions

1. Download all parts of your area.
2. Unpack anywhere.
3. Copy folder "tomtom" to your SD card.
4. Copy included .apk to your SD card.
5. Disable any internet connection in your phone (Put it into Airplane Mode)
6. Install the .apk
7. Launch the program. Let it load all it needs. Then close program.
8. Enable internet connection.
9. Enjoy!

Recopies METADATA.XML into COM.TOMTOM.YOUR COUNTRY folder and restart software ......

If still does not work, it is an incompatibility between TT and HUAWEI (already happened ....)

Put everything in internal memory!

Maybe the path in your .XML file is not correct for your Ascend. In that case you should put it where maury22 says and edit it (text editor) to change the path. For example, in my Samsung note 8.0, it is " <url location="file://storage/extSdCard/tomtom/com.tomtom.europe"/>"

I don't know if you have the problem resolved or not. If not, I think the issue is TT expect content on /sdcard and not /storage/sdcard1 (the external SD card). I run into the same problem with my Huawei Valient.

I own this phone and had same problem, now TT 1.3.2 working fine.
Basically TT only works with internal memory on this phone.

Root phone (if not already rooted) - foldermount requires root to run
Install FolderMount [ROOT] - Android Apps on Google Play (free)
Pair Internal tomtom folder with tomtom folder on sdcard.
follow installation instructions (airplane mode etc) Install apk as normal with maps on etc on SDcard in tomtom folder.

No need to edit files etc, works straight away.
