Igo favorites transfer to Igo Android

Postby fmmagyar » Sun Dec 15, 2013 6:18 pm

Have Igo installed and working on Android 10.1 Tablet. Everything working just great. Have tried to tranfer my Igo Primo 2 favorites but have not been successful. Have read to transfer userpoi file to save folder in android. Did not work. What folder on Adnroid IGO should I place the userpoi folder for my favorites transfer? Am I using the right file ie Igo primo does not list a favorites folder nor does the Igo on the Android, If I am using the wrong file then please what file, format and where to on the tablet android os?

save\profiles\01\user.upoi

This file contains favourites and poi's saved on the device.

Copy it from the source device.
Create a random favourite on the new device to confirm where this file is located, then replace it.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I could not get it to work. Found original source easily but was not able to complete the process. I tried making a folder and rebooted to see where it went but only came up with favorite folder and empty. Checked all other files and could not find favorite anywhere. So I could not replace as suggested. Perhaps you could explain further how to do the actions following copying of original source file. Obviously I did not know how to do it even though I tried several times and placed the original file in many places just hoping that it would work. Thanking you again for your response.

Yes. There are two save files, one under the maps folder and another stand alone folder. Both folders have same input which leads me to believe that I setup separately a save folder. But I do have a save folder.

Did you try creating a favourite on the android device?

I have a favorite folder on the android device and inside the folder is the userupoi file. Should I rename the folder from favorite to ? and place it where?

If you add favourites and poi's within iGO it is stored in a file in the save folder.

\save\profiles\01\user.upoi

Copy this file from the old to the new...

If you add already created poi's (.kml) then they go in \content\userdata\poi

And two years later this advice, clearly explained, proved just the job for me too. Thanks.
