Ok im yet to install the package by brown dog. Sometime today and i will leave igo running to see what happens that will be ofcourse after i clear the system off any files and folders of anything that looks like igo...but do you recommend i update the license and maps first before doing that or try with the old maps first

I would suggest that you install Primo 2.4 instead of NextGen so that you don't have license problems.

I would agree with chas521 except the "Brown Dog" build came with the device and should work (hopefully). Try with the older maps. Adding a license will not end the world while you can always download yet another build.

That is normal by itself. For street names you need a TTS (Text To Speech) voice, a TTS "engine" (could be google).
That "engine" should be activated in Android settings
TTS wasn't included in the original download/program but was (at least voices) in the one I uploaded.

So i can just copy the tts from the one you uploaded and past it?...will it require network services other than the satelites to function

Don't seek it too far
Copy/paste the TTS voices and the tts_nua folder, select the voice and try. Only issue might be the combination voice/engine.

Personally, I like Primo 2.4 better than NextGen. NG has too many license problems.
