I've also tested on several Android OS devices such as Galaxy SII, Note and Y, they all work fine with the M9 installed on the external SD card. One useful feature missing with the M9 is that it does not support "door to door" navigation, whereas the big brother X8.5 on PND has the capability to navigate right to the door step of the house or door number, albeit both M9 and X8.5 share the same map.

I wonder why MFM does not provide the door to door navigation feature for the M9. My only thought is may be the GPS chipset's accuracy in mobile phone is not as close compared to the GPS chipset used in PND which has an accuracy of 15 ft. to 30 ft.

May be someone out there can shed some light on as to why MFM does not provide the "door to door" search feature on the M9.

I believe it's the Papago M9 and not MFM's maps. Eventhough if MFM provide the door to door coordinates in their maps, the M9 does not have the feature to retrieve those information.

It is not true that GPS chipset's accuracy in mobile phone is not as close compared to the GPS chipset in PND. If you use Sygic you will be amazed that their door to door feature accuracy is within 5 feets.

Try to use it for HTC One X..... You got to change it to 1184x720 & 720x1184 in order to get full screen. However due to the fact that our screen got the 'crazy' 3 dot menu, the M9 menu all gone. Any original 1184x720 organic file?

May be should "remove" the 3 dots and try again.

gawanco wrote:What you said makes sense. The problem may be with the M9. I suppose the question should be directed to Papago as to why they leave out the "door to door" feature with their M9 firmware.

I've not tried the "Sygic". I would appreciate very much if you could direct me to the free download of this app and the supporting maps.

curiou5 wrote:You can find the download link in this forum under Sygic Navigation 11.2.6 or check your PM.

Install the apk file. After installation you will see two icons Sygic and Sygic Downloader. Run Sygic Downloader and it will take you to their base program files (200MB) and maps download utilities. Select the maps you want.

This section is only for Papago M9.......

Use in-car charger. In other word get a power cable that you can connect from your phone to the cigarette lighter.

M10 Samsung is a dedicated software for Samsung phone. It can be used with MFM's maps but only the x5 map is compatible. X8.5 maps cannot be used on M10. Moreover M10 UI are in Chinese only.

I've installed and tested the M9 with the latest map "MFM-PPG-X8.5-X9-120607" on two units of Galaxy Note without any serious power drain of the battery.

Your problem could possibility lie with the battery's internal resistant.

Perhaps you ought to check the condition of the battery. If the battery is new and still under warranty, take out the battery, use a suitable external charger to charge the battery. Then use a light bulb or small DC motor to discharge the battery fully and then recharge the battery again. This will clear the internal resistant of the battery.

Well, you can provide more power juice with USB in AC charge Mode , [Please Register or Login to download file]

Or get those octopus usb cable :) , already internally shorted the D+ and D- USB pins:

I personally use both methods above to charge my phone.
