Great job guys, tested and everything working good...GPS locked below 5 second...just notice 1 thing...its drained the battery crazy and the phone is getting hot just for short 20km journey testing...

Just wondering is it this M9 version is support to be battery draining..

Help. What is the reason for GPS can lock to current position when not using Navigation but once navigation start, current position cannot lock. How to solve?

What ur phone manufacturer and model?

Guess you are using HTC One X.

[Please Register or Login to download file]

1. Download the patch
2. Boot into CWR (Clockwork Recovery)
3. Mount /system/ partition (on the main menu, select the "Mounts and storage" option, then "mount /system")
4. Flash the patch (on the main menu, select "Install zip from sdcard," then "choose zip from sdcard," and find the zip and select it)
5. Reboot the device

Having similar issues. Got Samsung GS2 with AOKP. It locks just fine but when I navigate, my current location goes to some other place on the map

Dear klmvi,

The X8.5 works like a charm on my PND (MTK chipset) with the "FM-PPG-X8.5-X9-120503" map.

On the Road Search, input the Keyword such as "Jalan xxxxxxxxx", press OK, it shows all the Matched "Jalan xxxxxxxx", select the correct one of your destination and the next page the Door Num will appear for you to input the door / house number. Press OK and GO ! It takes me right to the door step of the door / house number.

But the M9 does not work the same way as the X8.5. It does not have the feature to input the Door Num. Hence, the M9 will take you only to the Jalan / Road of the destination you input, you have to look for the door / number visually.

Your problem with the Door Num feature could be the mother-board or the chipset of your PND. I've tested the X8.5 on MTK chipset, it works fine, but not on the Atlas chipset.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for new links and thanks to original post. tried on galaxy tab 7.7 and worked well in MFM map. voice navigation was found slow a bit and confusing sometime eg. turn left at round about and exit at second exit ( it was to go straightat , 2nd exit, a small round about 5m diameter, but it said go straight and exit at 2nd exit at big round about where I had to make a big turn). It could be MFM map problem rather than M9 software.

Door number one issue, battery draining is another big issue...compare to previous version or other GPS software, this M9 is one of the most draining GPS application software which I ever tested.

As far as I know battery drain big issue for dual core processor, while I'm using single core processor no battery drain issue, while navigating I get 4mA drain only.. lol..
