I had installed the papago X5 version for my andriod 2.1, can i install another M7 in my andriod 2.1?

I had download the taiwan map from above link, i dont understand what u mean to keep R51.SSC.hrd from original X5 map file? mean to delete it ??? pls advise

thanks for the file but i can't get navigation i have enabled the GPS and connected to internet but its not working. how long does it take to get a fix on my current location previously i was using nokia maps and garmin on my previous nokia phones which would take less than 20 sec to be fully loaded . what should i do to fix this ?

I just download the apk file for 2.2 from the 1st page of this forum and now i am getting map validating failed. I did not make any changes to the maps which i copied the last time. can some pls tell me step by step instruction . one more thing the 5 files i downloaded from papago website have the same content so i only copied the files extracted from file 1 and then i installed the PAPAGO_X5TH.apk which i downloaded from page 1 of this thread. instead of the PAPAGO_X5SEA_0806_WWEMarket.apk

Keep original map file R51_SSC.hdr from papago X5 Android (don't delete it).
Then Taiwan map file from M7 you can copy-replace on map folder papago X5 except file R51_SSC.hdr!

2. Extract on your PC. You will get folder NaviTH.
3. Download APK file from above link. Chose as your device system, Eclair 2.1orFroyo 2.2 type Then put on SDcard root directory.
4. Copy folder NaviTH from PC to SDCard root directory.
5. Replace libpapago.so inside folder NaviTH with Happy file.
6. Go to FileExplorer, then execute APK file to install Papago X5 on your Android.
7. Go to setting menu to switch on GPS function.
8. Run your Papago X5

I found the Hdr file, but i try to replace the Taiwan map hdr file with malaysia hdr file, i cannot work, my papago hang....

If you are using a Taiwan version of Papago with Malaysia map, you will need to replace the Malaysia hdr file with the Taiwan hdr file.

Thanks for the help but I am using the Singapore/Malaysia map. I checked it earlier and it is working. Btw how long does it take to load I mean get a GPS fix. I am using galaxy s and by turning ur 3g service helps?

Yes, turning ON wireless network will help you get satellite lock faster.

There is some trick to make GPS faster lock on your phone:
- Press *#*#1472365#*#* (FROYO => *#*#3214789650#*#*)
- Settings -> Parameter Settings -> Address -> Server Type: 1x MPC
- Settings -> Parameter Settings -> Position mode: option3
- Settings -> Fix Request Settings -> Session Operation: standalone---->server option : local
- back to menu -----> gpsOne XTRA -----> Xtra Enable -----> Enable.
- DONE !
To test it ==> select : commands get position start.....


to set Back to default :
- Settings -> Parameter Settings -> Address -> Server Type: UMTS SLP
- Settings -> Parameter Settings -> Position mode: option2
- Settings -> Fix Request Settings -> Session Operation: MS-based
- Settings -> Fix Request Settings -> Server Option: Default
