Dear Curious,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I do not think the contents of "1280x720" and "720x1280" files were incorrect. These two same resolution files were installed on Galaxy S3 with ICS 4.0.4 and works fine. So, the two "1280x720" and "720x1280" resolution files should be the right ones. But when installed on Galaxy S3 with Jelly Bean 4.1.1, the Menu selection button does not appear on the screen, hence unable to switch function.
If the "1280x720" and "720x1280" resolution files have been renamed by mistake, it should have the same problem, but it works fine with ICS 4.0.4. Strange, but that is the dilemma.
Any further possible points on the culprit will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks/Regards.

OK. Try renaming the 1280x720 and 720x1280 folders to 1196x720 and 720x1184 respectively.
If it still doesn't work, I'll zip the files from my S3 for you. I'm also on 4.1.1.

The Organic folder containing the folders of "1280x720" and "720x1280" resolution files, the language folders "CHT", "EN", "IND", "MY" and "TH" and file "ChProCt3" - each of the language folder also contains "1280x720" and "720x1280" resolution and "LangResourceCHT" files.
.
I have an additional file called x2polytexture.pak in Organic folder. Was it due to this missing file. You can download this file from

Dear curious5,
You have been extremely helpful and I really appreciate your relentless effort to help a fellow forumer. I wish everyone here is like curious5.
I will try your valuable suggestion and instruction. I already bricked a few Android handsets, including my favourite Galaxy Y for its size and weight.
The culprit could very well be the missing file "x2polytexture.pak" needed to activate the display codes of 4.1.1. I have a friend who has this file running on his Galaxy S3 on 4.1.1 with the 720x1280 and 1280x720 resolution files. No need to upload this file, I can copy the file from his handset.
I will experiment the M9 again on Galaxy S3 on Jelly Bean V4.1.1 with the 720x1280, 1280x720, 1196x720 and 720x1184 per your suggestion and instruction. I will post the results in due course.
Thanks/Regards - Cheers !

No, I've not had the chance to try the M9 on OS JB 4.2.2. Most of the handsets I tested are from my friends. I normally do not ask them to upgrade the OS in their handset for fear it may render other apps already installed unable to run.

Buy the original M9 from "www.m3asia.com". If it does not work on OS JB 4.2.2, ask them for a refund, because they confirmed with me via their e-mail that their M9 works on all platform of Android OS !
