Primo Android 9.6.7

Postby hakalo » Fri Nov 09, 2012 7:28 pm

So, correct it in first post :), cause there is still sylare and jetmouse :)!

For me was funny, cause i know that person good, and was funny to see 2 men for 2 nick names used by 1 person :)... Yeah in many post cross differeng gps forums was written "SR and his old friend" :) , so SR = skyrocker and his "old friend" = jetmouse aka sylar :)...

There is no "both", it's only one person behind jetmouse-sylar nicknames ;), so you can edit OP, and add there SR and jetmouse, or SR and jetmouse aka sylar ;).

My intention was only to say about wrong info, that is jetmouse=sylar :)... I though cause you are member on mobilepassion.org, that you knew who is jetmouse-sylar :).

Done. Happy now?
At least I give credit (where it can be known..and sometimes I could get it wrong) and do not just copy/paste from existing posts...as is the way on some other forums.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Is there a way to make Primo run in the background?

I want to switch off the screen, put the phone in my pocket and listen to the vocal instructions. For now it runs aprox 1 hour then it stops working. When I open the phone and click its icon in the notif screen or its widget, it restarts.
Thanks

Are you running any type of task killer software? If not, I suspect primo is set to close when the system asks it to, this will be down to the programming itself.

I have a couple of task/service killers installed but they are not set to do anything on their on (no automatic service/app stopping). I'll uninstall them just to be on the safe side and report back.
Thanks for the suggestion

Problem solved. It was the deep sleep mode that was choking iGO.

TTS Voice not reading streetnames correctly

Postby pedro75 » Fri Jan 04, 2013 12:33 pm

Guys,

I have a problem with dutch TTS voice in iGO Primo. I've done the Android TTS install. I'm using SVOX on Android 4.0.1 and the voice works. But when its needs to pronuonce a streetname it starts reading the letters seperately with things like "pipeline" (in dutch offcourse) so it can't interpert the phonetics it seems. Do any of you know a way to fix this? Then I would finally have iGO working like i want.

Thanks in advance

If you have (available with certain mapsets or sometimes found separately) a Dutch (Belgium or Netherlands) PHONEME file...extension =*.ph, sometimes this can help with pronunciation for certain languages or dialects.
If a phoneme folder does not already exist under {Primo}\Content\...create the folder and put the *.ph file in it. It might help. Sometimes not so much.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Need some help here guys. Got a shiny Nexus 4 which I'm trying to get Igo running on. It runs after the first initial install, but all subsequent runs fail with the screen going black for a few seconds then returing to the the home screen with no errors. I think this is to do with the [folders] in the sys.txt not pointing to the correct location. I'm using a setup that I have working perfectly on a Nexus 7 (1280x720 data.zip) but I just can't get it to run twice on the nexus 4. I've tried adding all sorts of paths to the sys.txt but I get the same results every time. Help!

Edit
Never mind all, if I delete the sys.txt completeley, it all works fine.

hi
thanks for the software just one thing. is possible to have some speedcam alert voice example ( speedcam 30 miles per hour) at the moment the tts voice says just speedcam ahead but no speed limits. also i notest that there is no audio folder. in igo8 there is an audio folder that contains the speedcam voice warnings and also the sound.
thanks

You get the speed cam + speed limit warning using TTS with the Dimka skin.

That would be only for non-TTS, and would not be valid without a skin that supports that choice.
