This is TomTom 1.4(1729544) DFoX ALL MAPS and FULL SCREEN MOD created by me
Include T and O versions plus Full Screen mod no Title Bar, to open TomTom on entire screen for better experience.
Full screen in both portrait and landscape screen orientation.
Very pleasant in landscape mode without title bar, when you have maximum screen surface. One of the advantages of land screen navigating is ALG (Advanced lane guidance) shows only in landscape mode an image of the lines when you drive on a highway, so now lines picture looks better on full screen.
* if someone wonder how I did screenshot on landscape ALG (Advanced lane guidance) picture showing highway detour on the screen on my phone, even two pictures, with and without title bar above, well... I have not circled the highways and detours just to make a screenshot although is very adventure spirit idea...... I just gave Route detail -> Show route demo. It's a nice cheat to test the GPS in landscape to see which detours show lines image

----Why to use version 1.4 and nothing above--------------------------------------------------
Reasons why to use TomTom version 1.4 and NOT USE higher version like 1.7 to 1.12 and above
During the years phones turn into very rival GPS devices to other devices that sells from $300+. So TomTom strategically destroyed almost every feature from version 1.7 and above upto current 1.12. Thereby tomtom 1.4 is the last good GPS navigation. Versions from 1.7 and above turns into a joke and cannot be used anymore. Here you are few differences to consider:
1. From 1.7 and above to current 1.12 the routing intelligence is ruined! On short distance routing (upto few kilometers) with set avoid highways, it cannot find eviting road. Even worst, it silently drives you through highway/toll road without asking for permission, after you have explicitly set "ask me" in the settings. And if you select Show alternative routes, it just say Cannot find alternatives, and push you into highway/toll road.
Now make same experiment with TomTom 1.4, set same destination and will show you 2-3 eviting roads around the highway/toll road. And will ask you whether to use highways and if you say NO it definitely wont route you through highways.
The problem is not into the map because both versions have updated with last version map. The problem is from 1.7 (including the last one 1.12) have lack of intelligence when calculate short 3 km routes with set avoid highways! So going on 3 km distance the only way is through the highway and no other option.
If you can't get what I am talking about just come to Sydney to show you how from Neutral Bay to next neighborhood Lt Leonards for 3 km wants me to drive through highway and cannot find alternative route. It so mental, for 3 km distance cannot route me though normal streets. In contrast, version 1.4 on same short distance finds many alternative routes when I set avoid highways.
2. From 1.7 (including last 1.12) cannot show your POI on the map. It shows points only within 3 km radius around your location and that's all. You cannot see your POI on the map when you scroll the map. In contrast, 1.4 shows all your POI on the map, and you can see it when scroll the map
3. From 1.7 (including last 1.12) show only 2 type of POI included - parking and servo. Whilst 1.4 show 100 different kinds of POI like dentists, post offices, stations, hospitals etc..
4. From 1.7 (including last 1.12) a new type of .ov2 is using. It cannot load old .ov2 POI files. You have to re-save all .ov2 files it with Extra_POI_Editor. In 1.4 you dont have such problems
5. From 1.7 (including last 1.12) cannot change map colours. In 1.4 you can select 12 map colours.
6. From 1.7 (including last 1.12) you cannot change car cursor. In 1.4 you can set picture you like for cursor.
7. From 1.7 and above you cannot put a different map you like. No control over map version and files. It downloads map what it likes. In contrast, version 1.4 you can copy map files independently, you can put version map you like, you can put older map if you like
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----POI vs Favorites---------------------------------------------------------------
to put .ov2 file as POI copy in this folder SDcard\tomtom\com.tomtom.australia\files\YourMapFolder\ then put checkbox in TomTom to show it on the map
to put .ov2 file as Favorites copy in this folder \data\data\com.tomtom.australia\files\personal\pois\Favorites.ov2 and after copying make file owner ID not to be root, make owner ID to be its TomTom ID.
Difference between POI and Favorites is that POI can search for a name, whilst Favorites cannot search for a name. In Favorites you can see all points in a list, whilst as POI you cannot see manifest of points
As POI you dont have limitation in number on points into a file and you can use as many files you like, whilst as Favorites you have limit upto 100 points
