Hi, I tried on my Samsung Galaxy S4 mini but doesn't work; after installation and EULA acceptance I got error message: "No network connection".

I was reading other threads for how to install the application:
- go into Airplane mode before APK installation;
- copy "tomtom" folder on SD card (visible as extSdCard on my device) and update .metadata.xml according with the right path (using extSdCard instead of sdcard).

It's there anything else to do? I downloaded other kit from this site (but the password for archive is wrong); that archive contain an Activator... I should use something similar?

Anyway, try this:
Remove all traces of TT from the device, use a good filemanager to check/ remove remaining folders with "tomtom" in the name.
Install just the APK, nothing else and start it.
Now check the device again for new "tomtom" folders - in one should be a folder "files".
In this "files" folder create another "files" folder - in here goeas the entire rest like maps and so on.
So basically the folder structure is the same only that everything that should be in a single "files" folder will be inside a subfolder "files" within.

The OS is Android ver 4.4.2 (not rooted) and I'm using ES File Explorer.
I tried what you suggested directly on sdcard (internal phone memory) and extSdCard (SD memory card): uninstall + remove tomtom references; I reinstalled tomtom + add "file" subfolder; I delete tomtom folder (and all subfolders , maps included) .... but after installation and EULA acceptance I got error message: "No network connection".
I will ask one friend of mine to try this kit on rooted phone and I will come back with results.

Hi, here is the right way to install Tomtom on external SD for devices running Kitkat (4.4.2)

copy folder "com.tomtom.xxx(your country)"in the "data" folder you"ll find in "android" folder on you SD card, then create a folder called "file" wich contains the .metadata.xml file and put it in the "com.tomtom.xxx" folder. Move the "files" folder into the "file" folder then rename "file" into "files"

SD card/Android/data/com.tomtom.xxx/files (with only .metadata.xml in it)/files (including all files as art, content and so on).

a quick view : SD card/Android/data/com.tomtom..../files/files

I tried as you adviced before
/sdcard/Android/data/com.tomtom.europe/files/files/...(art, content and so on) and I got the same error.
here below is the path inside .metadata.xml: "file://mnt/sdcard/tomtom/com.tomtom.europe" ... how this will point through "/sdcard/Android/data/com.tomtom.europe/files/files/" ?

Hi, check if the .metadata.xml file is still in the "com.tomtom.europe" folder, maybe not.
don't bother about what is in the xml file, just copy it again in the folder and launch tomtom.

thanks a lot for all of them who tried to help me; I tried many options, even factory reset on my phone + wipe but is not working and I feel tired.
In the end I installed TomTom Go Mobile from Google Play and the Europe map was automatically saved to extended card: extSdCard/Android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp/data/maps ...
FYI, Europe maps are 6.12 GB

For now I'm limited to 70 Km but I plan to upgrade for unlimited Km for 20 euro 1year subscription.

First launch OK on Galaxy Tab 3 with Internet ON, Tomtom folder in root from sdcard(internal).
Map tested : France. Note: This map version is 950.6558, no 950.6256 (in release.nfo and About app)

The same with maps 955?
