1. Check that you have at least 357Mb of free storage space, either on your internal phone memory or external storage. To look it up, go to your phone settings, and then data storage.

Instructions

1. Download all parts of your area.
2. Unpack anywhere.
3. Copy folder "tomtom" to your SD card.
4. Copy included .apk to your SD card.
5. Disable any internet connection in your phone (Put it into Airplane Mode)
6. Install the .apk
7. Launch the program. Let it load all it needs. Then close program.
8. Enable internet connection.
9. Enjoy!

Downloaded and installed on Android In car head unit .
When I open it looks for an internet connection (that I don't have there)
Is that what its supposed to do?
If so is there a way around it?

shouldnt need internet connection, uses satelittes in the sky..uses no data.....i had the old 1.2 version...will try this

OK.
It needed internet to finalise setup.
My head unit has wi fi so I parked close to a room with a wireless modem.
After finalising on 1st startup it seems to be working OK now.

I have followed all the instructions 1-8 but instruction 9 is eluding me

Did you make the installation on internal memory?

Well I have done now (again)
I also copied meta.txt to the root this time.
This seems to have fixed it.

Instruction 9 -- Here I come

Hi Guys,
I had installed without any issues, just wondering if there's any major risk taking the "special offer" to purchase TT Go Mobile with lifetime traffic for only 80 cents !!
My main issue is that you need to enable 2 way comms with TT, so they could gather contact info/home address from your phone. OR am i just being overly paranoid ?

I followed steps 1-8, but when I enable internet and re-start I get the message "Unable to connect to Tomtom. Try again later" same error as philipo363.
I also copied I also copied " meta.txt to the root this time".
But unfortunately this has not fixed the problem.
Could anyone please suggest a solution?
