I tried again installing the zip folder ( found in the 935 map page) first in the route, then "tomtom" and so on

For me I had to put it in the files folder.

All works fine now

Does live work on this one ?

Same problem for me as Gress in post #24 : installed and worked fine on previous Android version. My Galaxy Note 8.0 recently swapped to 4.4.2 and since, i get this message : "Unable to connect to TomTom. Try again later." and 2 options 'Try Again' and 'Exit'.

For make tomtom operate:
Put tomtom folder on extsdcard.
Create a folder in iner sdcard of phone
With folderMount create a personal link without make copy.
Active the link
It will be OK

Well I simply swapped Tomtom and my music : Tomtom in the internal memory (changed the path in .metadata.xml), music on the SDcard. Everything fine now.

You have to be rooted to use foldermount.

My Solution :

Instructions

1. Download all parts of your area.
2. Unpack anywhere.
3. Copy folder "tomtom" to your SD card.
4. Copy included .apk to your SD card.
5. Disable any internet connection in your phone (Put it into Airplane Mode)
6. Install the .apk
7. Launch the program. Let it load all it needs. Then close program.
8. Enable internet connection.
9. Enjoy!

10. move folder "files" and file ".metadata.xml" from sdcard1\tomtom\com.tomtom.europe
to sdcard1\Android\data\com.tomtom.europe\files\
11. delete folder "sdcard1\tomtom"
12. modify ".metadata.xml"
replace
<url location="file://mnt/sdcard/tomtom/com.tomtom.europe"/> by
<url location="file://mnt/sdcard1/tomtom/com.tomtom.europe"/>
----> (the sdcard1 variable can be different depending on the device!)
13. Launch the program

The problem in my case was that I could not go to end of step 7. Message "Unable to connect to TomTom. Try again later." and 2 options 'Try Again' and 'Exit' comes during that step.
