Followed the extra instructions to the letter, but the app keeps nagging it can't connect to TomTom What's the most critical thing?

tried NAVIGON Android Europe v5.2.6 [apk] Cracked also TomTom Android 1.4 APK_ Europe_Map_940.6004 tomtom i get the same error as a few unable to connect to tomtom after trying every way to get it running so tried the Navigon and getting connection error with that also seems it could be the phone, any ideas?

Right I've been trying to get this to run on my samsung s3 neo as older version is just stuck in a start up loop with this phone. First attempt I got maps can't not be used with this device. Dunno if this was to do with old maps still being on the card. anyway formatted card made all folders put all the files in the right place but Wait I'm running kitkat and the app never made the folder so it deleted it. So had to start again this time letting the app make the com.tomtom.europe folder. Now getting the common problem of not being able to connect to tomtom. Witch is good cause it gives me something to work on knowing that the app has passed this stage with wrong maps.

I'll keep ya all posted when I get it working

right copy tomtom folder directly to phone's sdcard not extSdcard that should do the job.

If like myself want to run this off your extSdCard then things are not looking good here. even after changing metadata file path still can't get to run off extSdCard. all good with internal built in sd

I did everything I had to, including making my own folders (double files-map)

Not with this Tomtom but the one I linked up on post 16 I got running from external sd card

on sd card put TT in

android/data/com.tomtom.europe/files/files/

In the first file folder you need another files folder and the .metadat file.

Put the apk file in the phones storage and find it using file commander and install.

I'm new on this forum, I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 with 4.4.2 and after 2 days, thanks to you, I finally manage to install tom-tom on it and it work perfectly!

So I decide to do the same to my girlfriend phone (galaxy note 3 with 4.4.2) same as you [DaY]BooM.
I did the install perfectly but when I open the app, I got this message : "you can't use this map on this devise - europe xxx"!
I try with an other map (Europe-940.5963) but it's the same.
I don't have any more ideas...
