Ok, I'll do a version that goes all the way back to root "/"

Should be easy...

Thanks Fatboyfun. I am now able to navigate to the microSD card with your app and see the choice of maps, but no matter which map I select the same map always comes up. I did clear the data from the Map Changer app before trying to change maps. I am using a771la's APK and the maps I have installed are USA_Canada_920_5241 and USA_Canada_915_5074. Regardless of my choice, the map that actually starts up is 920_5241. Am I doing something wrong?

Manually delete the currentmap.dat and start TomTom, does it offer a choice of maps?

I'm sorry for the delay in replying. I had no electrical power for almost 3 days. Lots of misery. In response to your question, yes it does, but no matter whether I select the 915 or the 920 map, it is the 920 map that comes on. I'm wondering if the tomtom application only allows 1 version of any country's map at a time. I'll have to try loading another country and see what happens. I'll let you know later on.

TBH I don't know, maybe it can see the maps are the same region and defaults to the latest version.

All the map changer does is automate the deletion of the currentmap.dat and start TomTom.
The selection of maps is handled by the TomTom app itself, if you are presented with a choice of maps then the map changer has done its job.

So in this case I would check the maps are activated properly, try temporarily removing the working map and see if the older version works.

Ok, this is what I have found out. When I remove the 920 map the 915 version works. If I put the 920 map back (after removing the 915) and add a 920 map for a different country they both work and your map changer app does its job. So it seems that if you have different versions of the same country map, only the latest will be operational.
Thanks once more for all your help and advice.

Hello,
I try to install "tomtommapchangerV1.5" on my SIII, I put on my SD card file: "tomtom".
But when I run Tomtom I have this error message: ERROR! The tomtom com.tomtom Application is not installed! Please check your installation!
Can you help me solve my problem?
