yes it works on internal storage, from 4.4 and below.
it doesn't work on external storage (sd) on 4.4, it does on 4.3
The whole problem is 4.4 not allowing programs to access the sd card, thats what 1.3.2 was meant to have fixed, but still no luck

try move files folder in your sd "/android/data/com.tomtom/files/files" (yes files/files) and .metadata.xml

I found out recently that Google have blocked 3rd party apps from writing to any external sd cards in kitkat by default, you can only change this policy if you're rooted. Those of you who can't install to external sd are advised to use internal storage.

that worked perfectly.
copied the "files" folder and the ".metadata.xml" file to /mnt/extSdCard/Android/data/com.tomtom.ukireland/files/ and it worked straight away.
Although if you uninstall tomtom, it'll delete the map too, so keep your poi's updated

rename the folder /Android/data/com.tomtom in acom.tomtom
clear app's data
rename acom.tomtom in com.tomtom

Android KitKat has caused problems as I have had to uninstall all from sd card and reinstall onto internal memory and then move it to sd card and it works

I downloaded the file and unzip that. And copy it to my mobile phone and installed it. Finally it said that cannot connect to the network(something like that). And then i tried to change the folder name "com.tomtom.weurope" become "com.tomtom.europe" (also changed the .metadata file).
Then it works, it can start the app. But now I got the another question.
When I'm going to select the map, it said that "You cannot use this map on this device: Western_Europ-889"
Anyone know what is the problem?

Whats your Android version, Device brand, did you start the app without internet connection ???

Ola pmaiden5 baixei este mapa estou a tentar por em foncionamento num s4 e s3 mini so que nao funciona me diz que nao se conecta com tom tom fazo tudo bem mas no final nao fuciona ma podes dar alguma dica que posa por esto a funcionar.obrigado
