Pswd: FROST

1 - install original (from g-play)
2 - launch app, go though settings, wait till list of maps appears. Don't switch off app at this point!
3 - launch file manager, navigate to /storage/emulated/0/android/obb/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp and copy it to different folder
4 - now exit GO, and uninstall it from app-manager
5 - install patched version from here. Don't launch it!
6 - back to file manager - find your saved com.tomtom.gplay.navapp and put it back to /storage/emulated/0/android/obb/
7 - now launch app, go to list of maps - and download which you want.

Got one problem, I miss the icon

pmaiden5 you are the star for the info.
When I downloaded the files, the obb file was of it's own and patched apk.But when I moved the obb file after the g-play installation ,I moved the whole folder. I think that solved the missing icon problem.

In internal memory go to Android/obb and create a folder called com.tomtom.gplay.navapp, after this copy main.1646522.com.tomtom.gplay.navapp.obb to this folder, after this install Tomtom_Go_Navigazione_e_Traffico_v1.17_Build_2117_Patched_By_DFoX_URET.apk and after all this start app and download desired map

Just installed on a Samsung S6 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. Followed pmaiden5 instructions and it works perfectly on both. Happy days

Hi, Big thank you, Working on Moto G5 Plus with custom rom. Been trying for a few days to get this working with various files from other sources and every time getting the " stuck on 1% downloading" problem your method and files worked first time. Your obb file in the created com.tomtom.gplay.navapp folder in the root Android/obb was what was missing as previous attempts all put that file in root Android/data.
