I had this problem install failed so I downed a free app installer and it worked???

That means that you have installed the map portion incorrectly.

I copy the folder into SD card. send the apk to phone and run it. Manage to run to software, but couldn't find any map.. Pls help

Try this
1) Copy the .apk file to the root of your SD card
2) Install the app from the apk.
3) Run the app. This will create a folder on the root of your SD card called com.tomtom.ukireland
4) Open this folder and delete the entire contents.
5) Copy the 'metadata.xml' file and the 'files' folder from your download and place in com.tomtom.ukireland
6) Run the app again.

I downloaded the south east asia apk. Couldn't find "metadata.xml" file from the download. possible to send me the metadata.xml file?

Hey guys, I have an android Dynavin system in my car and am trying to get TOMTOM working on it.
The system runs 2.2 android, but i don't seem to be able to get this working. If i install the patched .apk it won't run after and crashes the system. Am i meant to be removing the "(1144008)_patched" before installing? Also, where am i meant to be placing the files?
My device doesn't seem to install tom-tom to the SD card. cheers

As TT uses GPS satellites and offline maps, is it safe to assume that it does not require internet data?

The early versions used to perform a license verification, but would run without a data connection, this was removed in the later versions.

I hope you can help, I installed Europe_1.1.1_(1144008)_patched on samsung galaxy s3; everything went ok and tomtom sees the map, however i have no voice and cannot change the map display settings; whenever i try to change these tomtom freezes. The map display says it is on basic and this displays as yellow with road names but you really cant see tyhe roads
any advice welcome
