hi

downloaded the eu maps as I need them and everything looks perfect but no postcodes when I try to use it in the UK. Is there any way to add Uk postcodes to this or would I need to add UK maps separately.

thanks n advance

Did you select the UK before entering the postcodes?
Did you install the postcode zip from the 910 map thread?

I just dragged the 910 zip folder to the root of SD and all good now

5511Hi Downunder,

It looks like the links related to some of the repository download sites have been banned, at least in Italy (check attached pic).
Therefore, from this country we cannot download anything you've so kindly posted.
Would it be possible to try some different repository sites ?

Thanks !
Best regards
VAG

Am I alone in finding that UK postcodes don't work as expected?

If I input (for example) WR2 *** and enter, instead of returning the name of the road and asking "what number?", it returns a list of every road in WR2 and invites me to select the appropriate road. In effect it has ignored the the last 3 characters of the postcode. fwiw, I have copied the (latest) 910 post codes to the SD route.

Would anyone with a fix share, please?

The plugin out of date error is a sign in JD that there is a problem on the hosting site - usually server works, sometimes a downtime.
Checking affected links in the browser will give confirmation.
These problems usually don't last longer than 24hrs, if they do FF mostly offers a report button, use it and the links will be working within a few hours.

As for the postcodes: have no heard anything negative until now, but have to admit I'm not using them here anyway.
They are new to the 1.2 version it might still have some bugs.
Did you check the TT suport forum? Maybe they already found a solution for the problem...

It's working fine, as described.
Is there a way to get it working with 910.4963 maps? (http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?13076-Tomtom-1.2-with-maps&p=110140#post110140)

The map changer will work with any map, there is no map check involved.

Thanks, but what I meant is this: the above maps 4963 come all with their own .apk's and root folders, and without meta's.
Is there a way to install more maps under a single 'files' folder, and then use your map changer to select a map?

The thread was created for the packs I uploaded and the map changer works just fine with it.
If you need different maps you have to activate the maps using the correct device ID for your APK.

Hi

I have the downunder original download with the Europe map and the USA map. The maps are on an SD card, not the phones internal memory. I can switch maps by deleting the currentmap.dat file.

I have tried mapchanger V1 but this does not switch the maps (although it does start tomtom), I have tried V1.2 but this says it cannot find the tomtom folder and does not seem to have an option to direct it to look at the SD card. Am I doing something wrong with mapchanger?

Thanks

I guess Fatboyfun can answer that better than I could.
But I think the map changer searches for the "tomtom.." folder on the device, if found the currentmap.dat will be deleted.
I can only assume that the standard search is unable to access you SD or that the SD has some sort of protection on OS basis.
Maybe you can assist Fatboyfun to get that sorted by volunteering as a beta tester.
