So, for multiple com.tomtom.countries, i.e. more Tomtoms, Map Changer doesn't bring a solution (yet)?

If you have multiple com.tomtom... folders then you would need multiple apk's, so that defeats the point of having the map changer.

The idea was to have one apk and one com.tomtom... folder with several maps within it.

@nixmit

Are you wanting a "front end" so you can have one tomtom icon on the home screen and it lists all the tomtom applications installed and allows you to choose which one you want to start?

You are right, of course.
But I cannot do the multiple map trick with recently posted 910.4963 maps, because they come without meta's (yet).

A map changer that allows you to change between installed packages shouldn't be too hard to do...

Hi all, just joined and new to this so appologies if this doesn't belong here. I want to update my RAC 515f to tomtom software (had enough of Route66), can anyone point me in the right direction (Links much appreciated) or give me a breakdown of what I need to do. Many thanks

Just follow the instructions provided ;)
Sometimes I wonder why I bother to write instructions and put them into the first posting of my threads....

This is V1.3, All exactly the same as previous builds, but will allow you to go back to the parent directory where sdcard is by tapping the devices back button from the default location, should help for devices where the internal sdcard and the external SD card are mounted in the same directory.

Be warned on some devices this might land you in a part of the file system that you shouldn't be in, you won't be able to damage the device, but the map changer might crash if you go into the wrong directory.

Otherwise no other changes have been made, if V1.2 works for you, there is no need to upgrade.

This is a rough build of TomtomPackageChangerV1.

It scans the applications list for installed Tomtom applications (com.tomtom.***) whatever it finds it creates a list of them all for you to choose which one is appropriate at the time.

If there are none, an error message is displayed.

If you have only one installed, it just starts it immediately, users in this situation can use it to have an icon on the home screen called "Tomtom" instead of UK and Ireland/Italia/etc...

Please note: I don't check whether your installation of Tomtom has been set up properly, or even works. I just query the OS as to whether the apk is installed!

Also please note: Rough build! If no-one reports any problems, i'll jazz it up a bit!
