You should uninstall completely any previous version before trying to install over it:
- Uninstall
- Delete "save" folder, sys.txt, config.zip.
- Some versions need the specific data.zip that came with it.
- Most important,
the main folder should be called "iGO" and to be on the root of the SDcard.
My advice, uninstall and delete everything from previous versions, and use the
version I use on my S4.
Before running for the first time, go into content/lang and delete the languages you don't need. Same for content/voice.
Look
here for other voices.

Do you resolve problems with Primo on SGS4 with 4.4.2 ?.. by my look the problem come from Knox restrictions and Primo itself cannot store sys.txt at end ... mean - there is possible to install and run it ( need to be in .../Android/iGo/folder on internal storage ot sdCard ), select language, voice, car ect ... also to use it , but when try to close it, then application will crash due to will try to keep temporally data to file and will not have permissions and if you start it again the process will start from beginning - just like is first run after installation.

Android KitKat does not allow 3rd party apps to have full write access to external SD cards by default. You can only change this policy if you are rooted.
You can however use the android settings to perform a "move to SD card", so the app has ownership of the directory and has write access.

I got this working on my note3 running 4.4.4 before root. And now after still no problems here.

Isn't allowed
BTW :
not a S4 i9505, but one would expect it would not matter.

Linux permissions!!!

Meaning?
For a normal person like me
that is not understandable at all.
On my device, updated to 4.4.2 only today - I know, late - I can't move Primo - but I can move other apps (not all though).
And I don't want to root (yet) since I have guarantee!

I'm having a nightmare with Linux permissions on my pirate box at home, it keeps saving files only editable by the owner (which is root) in a shared directory on the network, and no matter how I change the settings it periodically reverts back. Causes me problems with moving files around between devices!

For Samsung S4 just add following lines to sys.txt
[folders]
data="/storage/emulated/0/igo"
sdcardpath="/storage/emulated/0/igo"
