Hi all does anybody know how to add your own .wav sound. In my case I want to ad my own .wav beep sound for the next turn alert.I understand that you can just re name it and switch it in the Data.zip file but this does not seem to work. I am not sure I am doing it right and if I am switching the right file.

Did you see this? However, I'm not sure which sound is the next turn sound in the data.zip.

Yes thanks for quick reply I did try what the link says on several of the wav files in Data.zip but did not work, maybe I am trying the wrong file. If anybody knows which .wav file is the next turn .wav file, please let me know. Some of them sound the same.

I am confused. What do you mean by the .wav sound for the next turn alert? That is a voice speaking. Or not?
Or do you mean the ding that sounds before each voice alert?

Yes thank you, that's it... the ding that sounds before each voice alert? I want to substitute my own ding sound (from another program). Not necessarily before every voice alert but just before the next turn voice alert.
I have an old Magellan that does this and I was able to remove the .wav file in it. I tried renaming it and placing it in to the igo Data.zip ( ui_android /voice) as suggested but can't seem to find the right one or maybe am doing it wrong.

I hope you realize that you just gave 2 important bits of information:
1. you confirmed it's about the "ding" sound before each voice alert
2. you are speaking of Primo Android

I am glad I was able to "clarify" what I meant with your help of course.

No problem. I saw too late this is the android section
That can happen when one reads/posts in the whole forum.
I was looking for the answer to your question, but since I am at work, I cannot find it that fast.
Maybe someone else could?

There is a !ding.wav (several!) in data.zip\ui_android\audio. Isn't that what you are looking for?

Yes there are several dings, also 6 alerts, I tried a few that I thought were the right ones to change....
!alert5.wav, !ding.wav, but no luck some sound very similar.Maybe i'll try all of them,in case I missed one.
