I was wondering if there is a way to extract the Navigon APK including maps from an Android device?
The app does not show up in Lucky Patcher to start with and a search on the phone gives a lot of folders but no useful apk.
I can only assume the app was installed as part of the firmware.
If there is any interest in the AU APK and maps I would need some useful instructions on how to get to the files and how to cure the apk - any help welcome ;)

If you're rooted use es file explorer with root permissions enabled and go to /data/app or /system/app to find the apk, then you'll probably find the rest in /data/data/{package name}/

Already tried that as I would ask for help otherwise ;)
There is a package folder, but I can not find any map files, same for the APK.
Even a full search on the device using ES Explorer does not show the APK file.
If there wouldn't be a map showing up I would also say that no map is installed, but it works.
For every other damn program on the phone I find APK files and data folder that are full, Navigon seems to be hiding :(

What about doing a nandroid backup using clockworkmod and examining the images in more detail on a pc?

Have to get there first, currently the phone is just rooted.
Had no need for a custom recovery so far, same for the 4.4 update until it is free of major problems.
It is just weird that Navigon simply does not show up with anything useful at all, neither an APK, nor a folder with files bigger than a few hundred kb - too low for map files...

It's possible they're using a false package name to throw you off the scent..?
Or it's installed on the sdcard?

Will install Titanium Backup later on and have a lokk with that.
If TB can't find then there must be something wrong...
