TTS in PRIMO not working...

Postby eskro » Mon Apr 15, 2013 10:01 am

hi guys, im using PRIMO v9.6.7.235654 on my IceCreamSandwich Android SmartPhone.

I just can't seem to get TTS voices to work...

whats the proper procedure?

once i have the TTS VOICE ZIP file,

and placed it in CONTENT/VOICE folder,

do i still need to install a TTS engine like lets say SVOX?
and buy a voice for it too?

thanks!

Make sure TTS is set up properly in the Android settings, possibly it is Language and input -> text to speech output, you should have pico at least, although it's a bit robotic, other voices are available.

Then make sure you are using a compatible Android voice file.

Did you bother to read my posting about using TTS voices ?
Asking as you did not mention what sort of voice you are trying ;)
For the Primo TTS voices the tutorials are still valid, for the use of the Android TTS engine you need a "patch" file to get it working.
