I have just bought a 58 plate tourareg and it as a dvd with it titled navteq v3 how old is this and should I be getting the v8 for it ? The system is a rns510 and is it straight forward to upgrade the maps cheers in advance for the flood of answers.

PS not a novice I had a bmw 530 prior and went through many revisions of maps for that beauty :)

So I put the v8 in, how can you tell it is actually running that version someone please answer as opposed to just read and laugh please
