My friend got this device [Please Register or Login to download file]
Becker Z201..And want to update the maps to latest version,how to do that? Sorry but I'am a totally noob about Becker navigation :S It works with iGO? I installed some Garmin navigations but it's really simple..So if u could help me? I would be grateful THANKS a lot!

Read the other threads here. The Becker Z201 uses the same maps as the other Becker devices.
In other words: the thread about the Z204 update is fully applicable.

I read all those threads before posting this one, and couldn't find something just direct I told u that I am a beginner with this navigation :/ If there is a some kind of Tutorial or something that would help? I am pretty sure you do know but u hate to type it again and again .. Please help, if u can step by step? PLEASEE

Exactly, I type it again and again. So on special request:


1. search new maps :link:
2. download the ones you want/need, save them on your PC
3. goto :link:
4. download the program and save on the PC
5. attach the Becker to the PC and explore it
6. find the maps on the Becker and move (!) them to a different location on PC
7. goto to the downloaded maps, when it's a zip file : unzip
8. copy (!) the unzipped files in the same folder on the Becker as where the old maps were
8. find the .exe file, the data.zip file and the license folder on the Becker
9. move (!) them to a different location on PC
10. unzip the downloaded program, do not further unzip !
11. copy (!) the new exe file the license folder and data.zip to the exact same location as the old ones
12. there is no 12, you are done

hy.i am newbie on gps system.I have a friend with becker Z201 bought in 2010.He has stok maps.There is a possibility to do update to maps!?it is possible to install igo on this device?can someone guide me how to do update or to instal igo?sorry for my bad english

Could you please name that program, because links doesnt work ir PM....

For beginner i suggest that you upate just the igo8.exe with a modified one capable of using latest map .
