Can i update a becker z204 ??

Hello,

I am recently registerd and the same problem as Naviman. I got formerly the complete set of maps for 2011 August but cannot use them without the licence. I don't find the licence at the links.

Can somebody help me?

Not sure what you want. You want to have newer maps and you have the original program? Than the license alone won't help. License and program file (.exe) are combined. Official license needs official .exe and the other way around. Unofficial needs unofficial.
So when this is your problem, you need to download a complete build.

I start from the beginning. A half year ago I bought a GPS "Becker traffic assist Z 204". I got it with maps of Europe dating the 04-24-2009. These maps are very old however the GPS is almost new. Recently I got from a friend the newest set of maps 08-23-2011. If I replace an old map by a new one the IGO8 program doesn't see the country belonging to this new map. If I replace all the old maps by new ones, I get an initialization error messege. I suspect (but I am not sure) that the problem comes only from the licence file. If I could get from somebody a valid licence file the IGO8 program would be able to see them fine. I am expecting help to this action.

The data of the old version is following:

The version of the new Navteq maps I don't know really only their date, all have the same: 08-23-2011.

My first question is: is really sufficient to change tha old maps by new ones and the old licence by new one and will be all O.K? Or have I to do something else?

This is a license matter. Regrettable it's not enough to change the maps and the license. You need a unofficial program when using a not official license. So backup the maps, the license and the .exe. Then replace by one you find here. Or do it like described some posts up (post by atomantnk), that way the original keeps untouched.
