I can't say I understand what you are saying.

Once I'm tryng to use my becker I notice that it hasn't satellite's signal and only appears german maps...
Before definitive GPS satelite fix, there is no real location, so you see you are in Berlin. Wait for a satellite lock. A first lock can take 10- 20 minutes, sometimes more.
Is this what you mean?

What it's happened? When I update the device it's works ok...I don't understand it.

:confused::confused:
You confuse me.
You mean when you updated the device (see other thread) it worked but now it doesn't anymore,
By not working, you mean the device thinks you are in Germany, but it works? Or something else?

Hello nabi,

Yes, when I update the device it's works, but today I switch on it and I wanted to enter an address, I can read at the window next, at the left screen, the message: "WITHOUT GPS", and in the middle of the window: "THE CALCULATION BEGINING TO DETECT AN GPS SIGNAL. SELECT "THE LAST POSITION" TO CALCULATE FROM THE LAST KNOWN POSITION".

Then, you click at the last position choice, and you can read: it's processing the quickly route...AND APPEARS THE NEXT ADDRESS: HAUPTSTATTER STRASSE, STUTTGART, MITTE 70173.

I've tested to wait more than 1 hour to a satellite lock, but it doesn`t matter, the device works like this. It calculates all the address from Stuttgart...

Does this question a solution, nabi?

Thank you,

Have you tried deleting the save folder? (Make a copy first)

It has been impossible, Fatboyfun. I tried four times to delete the save folder but it appears every time...and the country reference is germany, already.

The save folder is re-created when you next start Primo, This is normal.
For some reason your device is not getting a satellite lock and the map has been returned to it's default start position because you deleted the save folder.

Using the GPS information screen, Is there any satellite activity?

Can you "Hard reset" the device? I've had confused GPS modules before and a soft reset doesn't work.
Did you do or change anything before this happened?
Are your sys.txt settings still ok? Corrupted?
Can you restore a complete backup?

A sudden lack of satellite activity is usually a hardware problem.

I've done a "Hard Reset" and doesn't work.
I haven't change anything and I don't know if the sys.txt is corrupted, but I can do one thing...I can update another time the device, like nabi said me.

Advanced thanks, Fatboyfun, I'll tell you the result.

Strange, but as you say, a new install could solve things.
Keep us informed.

Hello everybody,
I've re-updated the device and it works; I've got the correct map, but...when I'm trying to enter an address I've noticed that Becker continuos without satellite signal (and I've been waiting more than thirty minutes).

May be...I could use it into the car, at a little road. With the movement the satellite actives the signal...isn't it? Is this thought correct? I will test this.

No this thought is not correct. You should be at one spot until the satellite gets a fix.
Is the GPS module found? And if so, does the GPS find satellites? (but does not lock on the satellites)
When the answer is yes and yes, then 30 minutes is not enough.

It's true nabi, at the little road the arrow has remained static at home. The device has shown the correct route, but it hasn't been picked by a satellite's signal. At the positional data>GPS data>....you can read: "GPS RECEPTION---->Whithout GPS; and just down:"SATELLITES---> 0/0".
I've been moving during more 40 minutes...and I haven't been successful.
