NavTeq BMW CD version 2010 2011 found !!!

Postby multipazz » Sat Jan 08, 2011 5:59 pm

OK

so after downloading the Peugeot Citroen NavTeq 6 times...

I think have now found the full set of europe maps for CD version 2010 2011 for all non C-IQ VDO Devices ...

they have the same files structure on the CD as the BMW 2009 2010 version...
they were listed as Opel CD70 ... which is in the supported list....
I will test next week to confirm...

unpack the nzb file

you need a news reader and usenet account to get the files

nzbdrop is a good newsreader on mac
Newsleecher for PC <--- there is a cracked version available

for usenet account.. you can find some free trials if you search.... "usenet free trial"
make sure the free trial will allow at least 3.5GB for your download...

I can get 'Leecher to see the NZB file, but when I click on ti nothing happens. Am I missing a step, or do I need to subscribe to a Newsgroup etc in order for the download to begin. Sorry to post this here, but I am completely new to this and am completely stuck having got this far. Please help. Cheers, V

when you have signed up for your usenet service provider you should be given:-
1) server address ( ususally will look like " news.myusenet.com " )
2) username (usually your email)
3) password (usually random generated pw)

this information has to be put into the app preferences for the app to download the rar set...

are you looking for the whole set or a single disk..
I am uploading UK CD now.. will provide links in an hour...

Hi, thank you for your persistance and patience. I was specifically looking for the UK and also France. I seem to have completed all the stages for Newsleecher, but cannot find a way for it to begin downloading the NZB file which I got from here. Crazy!! It can find it in my system, but won't do anything with it - or, more likely, I can't get Newsleecher to do anything with it once it's found it in its own "Explorer". I appreciate all your efforts so far, multipazz, thank you. V

can you see the list of 70 rar files in the newsleecher

or can you expand the nzb file to see the files

try right click on the nzb in newzleecher.. does it give you a download option?

try the transfer que tab...

When I click on "Add NZB file" in 'Leecher it can find it in my PC, but will not do anything with it; it neither loads it or shows it. This means there's no rar files, NZB or anything else, showing up in newsleecher. My connection(s) in 'leecher is showing "Offline (connect on demand) - is this right? Strike that last one - I get Usenet - "Idle and ready for Action". But nothing starts when I click on the NBZ file from here. Cheers, V

I have now dldd the files - thank you, multipazz, but every time I burn them my Renault insists there's no CD inserted. I have burnt at the lowest speeds possible and verified. However, I am assuming I have to use PowerIso etc to extract the files and then burn them, right? Which is what I've done, but ImgBurn does not recognise the "Abstract", "carindb," "carinet" etc files in order for it to burn them - so I have had to use Nero at a low speed - but with no success when I get them to the car. What am I doing wrong, please? Should I be burning teh iso file and let my car's satnav sort it out? Help!! Cheers, v

Ignore that last post - I have burnt the complete ISO file without extracting the files contained therein and the Renault recognises them at last. Thank you!! I am going to have a go at incorporating a previous TMC folder into the Iso file to see if I can get the new maps to work with TMC, which they do not seem capable of the moment. I hope this helps someone maybe in the same boat - and not nearly as daft - as me. Wish me luck. V
