Help determining BMW sat nav version?

Hey Guys,

I've used this forum quite a bit in the past from TomTom maps and the support has been great, however now I have been asked to source some maps for a BMW X5 2002reg and I haven't a clue what information I need, where I find model/version numbers etc to help find the compatible GPS software.

Does anybody know where I might look to find said model numbers? are the version numbers physically printing on the GPS box in the boot, or is the version number on the main radio computer under a menu somewhere?

2002 BMW x5 (e53) if your navigation is orginal one, its the BMW HIGH and you should use the DVD version. Also you can check on your nav.computer where you put in the dvd in the trunk, if it says DVD use dvd.

If you have for some reasons the older one you need to use the CD versions. BUT a 2002 X5 have standart DVD version BMW High
