Noobie need help!

Postby Simond67 » Sat Oct 26, 2013 4:58 pm

Hi,

I have a Binatone F430 which is stuck on the start up screen "Binatone.... Drive like a local" and will nothing else!

I've tried connecting it to my laptop but nothing!

Any suggestions please?

Thank in advance.

Simon.

You will probably need either activesync or Windows mobile device center installed on the pc before you can connect, these are free Microsoft downloads.

When you have a connection and can see the devices filesystem, does \my flash disk\mobilenavigator\mobilenavigator.exe exist?

I already have windows mobile device centre, the trouble is with the sat nav, it will not get past the "Binatone... drive like local" startup screen and nothing when I connect it to my laptop.

It either needs a rom flash or it's suffered a hardware failure. And the F430 rom isn't available anywhere, so it looks like a return to the store is in order.

Open a dispute, eBay nearly always refund the buyer.

OK its an old thread but do you still have the old F340 simond and are you in the UK? If so how many beer tokens do you want for it? as I need a screen. I to met an eBay idiot who sent a broken one. Got my refund but they have yet not asked for the sat nav back. I would like to learn how to change them.

What about the reset switch at the back? My 3.5 froze when I had that and it was fine after a reset
