I am a newbie at the whole GPS modding scene. I have no clue what I need but I want it all or be able to make it do all that is available. I guess I am just too greedy :) . Now to the question, which unit do I need to get ? Money is not an issue but I want it to do everything (except maybe for replace the little lady.)

Are you after an Double-DIN in-dash type or a portable "stick to windscreen" type? Maybe a smartphone/PDA? What GPS software do you want/need to run?

Thanks for the reply Fatboyfun. I am wanting a portable. As far as software, not really sure. Definately the best GPS stuff, hopefully with bluetooth, wifi, movie player, etc

What do you define as the best GPS stuff? Most WinCE based devices can be unlocked to run other software like movie players, games, other GPS software etc.
To get all the best features of Tomtom you will need a Tomtom device.

So decide what's most important first, Navigation or a general entertainment device.
