Destinator 9 and some Maps

Postby dannyu » Sun Jan 02, 2011 6:51 pm

Thank you, Chas521

I'll be happy to test version 8, but I'll have to find it first.
I'm sure you know what you're talking about :)

Thank you,
Danny

In this case, I do. Sorry but I don't have D8 anymore. While it was OK, the volume was on the low side and I couldn't increase the level so I deleted it. All in all Danny, I find iGO 8.3 and Amigo the best things out there.

Thank you, Chas521

I remember your opinion about IGO8 and also agree with it. If I recall correctly this was XTYLER92's opinion too (BTW,
where is he? I haven't seen any post by him for a long time).
I'm using IGO8 a lot more than AMIGO and/or PRIMO and I think that says it all.

As for destinator, I'm simply trying to conduct a small test (as all of the above are basically from the same manufacturer) and
compare the logic which the given instructions by the unit are calculated.

Thanks & have a great 2011,
Danny

I do agree about IGO8. I think IGO8 is the best one. I'm testing IGO Primo and find that is a nice option.
Anyway I beleive that the maps are very important in that decision. It depends of the country you live and how precise is the map.
Here in Brazil we have problems. We don't have a map for every state/province like Igo Usa Map ( and we have about 23 States ). We are in constant streets changes , so the 2010 maps today are outdated. The best maps in Brazil are Garmin Soft cause we have a comunity - tracksource.org - that are in constant updates and with people ( like us ) helping .
Beside that I keep using the Igo option most of time.

@dannyu

FYI, Xtyler92 is no longer associated with this site but he does pop-in from time to time.
