YFloaderMLC.exe question

Wed Sep 25, 2013 4:12 pm

Hello guys, hello forum

I'm new in this forum. I have an Mls Destinator Device with Windows CE core 5.0 and I have a question, maybe a bit silly!

What is the file that YFloaderMLC.exe has and with this file when i press the power button the device starts to countdown for 30 seconds and then the device shuts down?Is it located in the Windows folder?Or it's included in the .exe?

Sorry for my English I'm from Greece!!

Thanks,
Alex

I don't understand the question?

Do you want to change the 30 second delay after pressing the power button?

Or do you want to kill the process?

No. Oh my English gonna kill the forum.!!! lets differentiate the question
Is there any program or script to shutdown (NOT suspend) the device? just like the program/command that yfloader already includes to power off the device.(when i push the power button the device starts to countdown ect.)

Mortscript cannot turn off the device, only suspend.

If there's an app available to physically turn off the device I've not seen it.
Miopocket is a good repository for little apps and tools. You don't need to install it, just look through the programmes directory...

Well, miopocket looks nice and has many useful apps...
But i was wondering if the power off feature that yfloader includes would be in the windows folder and not ''inside'' the yfloader and i could open it without opening the shell menu...but i think it wouldn't..
Anyway, thanks for your help! :)

Use total commander on the device to go through the Windows directory, don't forget to turn on show hidden and system files.

Then you can look at the exe files to see if one does what you want.

But it'll probably be an internal part of yfloader.exe.

After searching in registry and windows folder, I found the pwrbutton.dll as you can see by yourself

58365837

the problem is that I cannot launch dll files by once... i have to open yfloader and then push the (hardware) power button to open the dll and start the countdown...In addition, as you can see in the picture i snaped during i was searching the registry, i found the script that opens the dll and starts the countdown to power off the device...

Is there anyway to open the dll file? even convert it to exe and the launch it?

thanks
Alex

A dll is a library or resource for applications, there is no executable code within it.
So you can't convert it.

I would say the power off routine is contained within yfloader.exe and what you want to do is not possible.

What happens when you hold the power button down for several seconds?

with the yfloader.exe opened

5838

with the yfloader.exe determinded : suspend

Held down for several seconds mind!

5+ seconds.

Usually that turns devices off

Thu Sep 26, 2013 7:06 pm

nope...that doesn't work for me
when i hold the power button for many seconds the device just suspends... there are no further actions like turn off

(Device: Mls Destinator 3855)

YF devices are common, maybe someone has created a little tool to do this already, try searching the internet.

Otherwise I doubt it's possible, the original software is responsible for basic device functions, and not using it is akin to disabling these functions.

I've been searching for a solution or a program on the internet and in other forums they said this function would be impossible to do it and that there's no program to turn off the device.

I was wondering if the shell menu would run in the background so that i can turn off the device, but it replaces the windows desktop...so, it wouldn't...

It "might" be possible to automate the power off with a mortscript wrapper.

But this is advanced stuff and you would have to write the script yourself.

But basically you call a script that...

Starts yfloader.exe
Waits until it's ready
Emulates a screen tap over the "power off now" button (if it exists)
(Device powers off)

You could assign this to an icon on the desktop, it probably isn't possible to map it to the power button.

It might be visually messy, ie a flash of the yf loader screen just before shutdown, but "might" work.

ok i'll try it and i'll tell you the results..i'll take a course from http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php ... ript-Guide ...thanks for the tip!!
