What can I do with my Navigon 2000S NA?

Navigon 2000S NA
Version: 7.3.1 (build 437)
Program: 080911-1442

I understand there are no Navigon maps of North America newer than 2010.

If this is true, is there any way I can hack my unit to show current maps of North America (possibly from another brand)?

Or, if I sell on ebay can a European user update it to make it current?

Or is it truly junk and useless?
