Add map to Garmin Drive 51

Hello all,

Apologies if this has already been covered. I've spent the better part of 2 days trying to figure this out by searching the forums and internet for a solution, but I'm still lost.

I received a Garmin Drive 51 for Christmas, however I live in Italy, and it came with only the UK map installed. I have downloaded SW EU NT(8356).rar from the forums here, and extracted the gmapprom.img. I have all Garmin software installed (basecamp garmin express, mapinstall) etc. But I'm having trouble understanding exactly how to get the map on my device.

I am using a Mac and see that there are several files named gmapprom.img in the Garmin>.system folder, but I would imagine it isn't as easy as just overriding them.

If anyone could take a minute to point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.
