I have just bought a new computer running Win8.1 64bit.
I used Basecamp/Mapsource on my old computer no problems, updates ok.

I have installed Basecamp/Mapsouce ok. Runs ok.
However , when I update map using msi option in CNE NT2014.30 (worked ok on old machine)

1. Map does not show in Mapsource

2. Get the following error message when trying to open Basecamp

Does anyone have any suggestions please. Ie do map updates need to
be installed in a particular folder etc.

I'm not familiar with Win8, but I know that BaseCamp has to work on it. Mapsource is an old and long outdated program and should not to be used, especially not for new maps!
I recommend to deinstall all Garmin software first and then try to reinstall BaseCamp or current CityNavigator PC-install version (msi-installer with basecamp, mapinstall, webupdater and map).

Thanx for your reply. Seems I needed newer USB drivers.

Have installed Basecamp ok.
However , Mapsource & Mapinstall are installed in Spanish !!

I live in Spain so I have set computer region to UK and I think I have deleted
all references to ES in Basecamp & Mapsource.
Basecamp installed in English but Mapsource in Spanish.

Anybody any ideas what I am doing wrong ?

Sorted language problem.
Removed ref to Spain(ES) in Mapsource/Mapinstall AFTER installing and starts in English.

However , I still cannot install CNENT 2014.40.

Will start another thread if I have to.
