What were you doing before this happened? What is the last thing you did with the SD Card? Did you copy some other stuff along maps .image ? Does your pc detect that SD Card?

Or you just want to say that Garmin does not detect maps from SD Card? Please be more detailed in description, if you want somebody help you!

Do you have on SD Card unlocked maps or ?

Sd card

I put an unlodked "img" on my SD card because my nuvi 310 has not got enough space for it.
How can I make the device point to it rather than the Garmin root folder?

Did you try to format your card and then copy the files again ? Have you tried another SD card except the one with the problem ?

You can't put just .IMG file on root of SD CARD, you have to create folder Garmin on your sd card, and then after copy .img file into garmin folder on your sd card.

Rename .img file to GMAPSUPP.IMG , and browse to your map information on your Garmin GPS and you should see the new maps selected. This can be found on the device via : Tools>Settings>Map>Map Info and there to select which map set you want to use!
